SATAC Terms and Conditions for the University of Adelaide
- I authorise the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC) to act on the behalf of the University of Adelaide in all matters relating to the processing of this application to enrol in the University of Adelaide.
- I declare that all the information submitted in my application is true and complete and I agree to comply in a timely manner with any requests from SATAC or the University of Adelaide for the provision of information or supporting documentation.
- SATAC may collect, receive, store, transfer and use any information provided by me, including my Unique Student Identifier, or any information obtained in connection with this application and may disclose such information to the University of Adelaide and its partners, any relevant government department, agency or statutory body or officer (including the Office of the Student Identifiers Registrar), Universities Australia (UA), UA member institutions, the members of the Australasian Conference of Tertiary Admissions Centres (ACTAC), and any other tertiary educational institution or authority either in Australia or overseas where SATAC reasonably considers it is necessary to make such disclosure.
- SATAC may disclose the personal information I have given in my application to the government for use in connection with the Higher Education Information Management System (HEIMS); and/or with the University Applications and Offers Data Collection; and/or with any other collections as any government department, agency or statutory body or officer may lawfully require from time to time.
- I authorise SATAC and the University of Adelaide to disclose personal information collected from this application, including my Unique Student Identifier, to relevant government departments, agencies or statutory bodies or officers or educational institutions for the verification and assessment of my qualifications and to obtain official records relating to my application and I understand that SATAC and the University of Adelaide are not responsible if such records cannot be obtained.
- I authorise SATAC and the University of Adelaide to verify any information provided by me and I understand that SATAC and the University of Adelaide have the right to cancel my application if it contains untrue or incomplete information or to cancel or to vary any offer or enrolment which was found to be based on either untrue or incomplete information.
- I accept that the University of Adelaide has the right to cancel or vary any offer or enrolment if it is found to have been made on the basis of an error by SATAC or the University of Adelaide with regard to the assessment of my application against the selection rules of the University of Adelaide.
- Any fees paid to SATAC cover the cost of processing my application and are not refundable.
- I authorise SATAC and the University of Adelaide to use both the information contained in my application and the information derived through the assessment of my application for research purposes relating to tertiary admissions.
- The University of Adelaide may forward information about other courses and career options that may be available to me.
- The University of Adelaide has the right to withdraw any course or change the content, location or method of presentation of any course that I may apply for or be offered.
- The documents submitted for my application become the property of SATAC and the University of Adelaide and will not be returned to me.
- I acknowledge that if I do not possess either an Australian or New Zealand citizenship nor permanent residency status for Australia, nor hold an Australian permanent humanitarian visa, I am classified as an international applicant.
- I understand that I will be responsible for the full costs of my course of study. I understand that any refunds of fees paid to any university will be subject to that university's Refund Policy.
